FlixBus

I joined the FlixBus 5 year anniversary design competition. It involved creating a design on the rear and side of the bus, that celebrates the story of FlixBus in the UK. The winning design will be displayed on the buses for a year.

This was a fun way of completing a brief as I’ve never entered a design competition like this before.

Below I’ve attached some sketches I made at the beginning of this project

Here’s some rough notes, I noted down iconic landmarks in the UK that I could include in my design

Here’s my mood board, I got inspired by English Gothic architecture and wanted to incorporate the arches in my design. I also wanted to add in small illustrations of British landmarks in those arches, to try to embody that sense of travelling
Here’s the template provided by Flixbus, the brief stated to use this for our final design

I had to use a DropBox link to send over my design as well as an artist bio and a short summary of my concept

My final design that I sent over to FlixBus
